Three reasons business healing can help leaders

Business Team with Business Healing

Healing is available for everyone, not just the physically ill. And just about everyone has gone through something painful or unexpected at work, including leaders. When leaders experience personal healing, it can benefit their entire workplace.

Why focus on healing around work?

1. Work is prime ground for personal expansion, disruption, and setbacks. It’s typically where you and others are creating value, contributing to something bigger than yourself, learning important lessons, and growing personally.

2. Work isn’t usually a solo activity, it’s a place where our hopes, expectations, desires, beliefs, values, feelings, ways of being, and creativity collide with those of others. Often these collisions create a hidden layer of meaning that goes far beyond the direct things that we can “see” and make sense of in our day-to-day workplaces.

3. Every interaction, decision, judgment call, piece of feedback, or bit of praise—or on the flip side, all that goes unspoken, unrecognized, or is withheld—creates a hidden topographical landscape of emotions and thoughts. This layer of reality isn’t often discussed, examined, or dealt with, yet it adds up over time and stays with you, whether you’re conscious of it or not.

Every step of the way, teams and leaders are impacted by what happens at work, emotionally, mentally, and sometimes physically. Healing changes that energy, in ways that benefit them and those around them.

What are the typical effects of business healing?

Although I don’t guarantee results, after one to three sessions, clients typically experience:

  • Feeling heard, seen, and affirmed

  • Greater overall lightness

  • Physical ease and/or pain relief (often with headaches and neck, back, shoulder pain)

  • Release of stress and mental anguish

  • Greater confidence in themselves and their work

  • New perspective on “what happened”

  • Decreased shame/guilt resulting from choices made at work

  • Greater awareness of boundary failures and their effect

  • Feeling of empowerment and hope

  • Increase in overall energy and motivation

After a period of regular business healing sessions, current and past clients have experienced:

  • Greater abundance and prosperity (budget and revenue growth, success of new offerings)

  • Greater sense of peace with themselves and their work

  • Increased self-confidence

  • More harmonious relationships with direct reports, board members, peers, bosses, other leaders, partners, and at home

  • Decreased tendencies to repeat self-destructive patterns like self-sabotage and overwork

  • Shifts in generational attitudes and patterns, more harmonious family relationships

  • Increase in overall satisfaction with life

To do business healing, I work with clients on an energetic level to address the retained effects of workplace experiences. With some clients, I combine business strategy and energy work; they tell me they especially enjoy the energy work.

Work-related healing isn’t something most people are aware exists, let alone that it can be a powerful tool to help them increase their overall effectiveness and satisfaction at work. Over time, these healing effects can also enhance your personal life in potent ways.

That’s why I’m on a mission to normalize these conversations and bring healing to the workplace.
